A run for volumes and the consolidation of the German waste management market
The waste management and recycling industry will be facing tough times - not only because of the current financial and economic crisis.
Revenues of the German waste management sector will decline quite significantly over the coming years: from €14.5bn in 2007 to €13.0bn by 2015.
As with any industry, there are many reasons for this decline, however, as the OC&C insight demonstrates, those companies that are financially sound and well-run can a tually benefit from the downturn.
