The German broadband market has become a highly competitive sector. A steadily growing number of competitors are operating under the increasing pressure of declining profitability. As a consequence, some of them have recently developed into veritable takeover candidates.

Financially strong consolidators are available as buyers, as strategic investors as well as financial sponsors. The DSL as well as the cable sector also offer excellent opportunities to expand current portfolios beyond regional, technological or business model-specific limitations.
