After my studies, I worked for 4 years in a consultancy specialised in retail. I worked on various assignments from corporate strategy to the implementation of IT systems for leading retailers in Europe.
A friend of mine told me that strategy consulting is like “Bringing some clarity to a dark environment. I think it is very true: we do help clients to get out of the Cave and see outside of their current world or business, making them enter into/ try new markets, reshape their business model, build partnerships …
In OC&C, I think what really makes us different is our team spirit built around some core values like respect, merit or excellence in work. There are a lot of collective work partners involved in issue analysis, sharing their experience with the most juniors.

I graduated from HEC Paris accumulating experiences in apparently opposite fields, with internships in Auditing (Ernst & Young) and in Marketing (Reckitt Benckiser, Danone). Strategy consulting enabled me to find what I liked in these 2 types of experiences, working in a rigourous and challenging environment while always tackling new issues in a creative approach.
We worked for a whole General Direction (7 people) helping them to establish a new ambitious Business Plan for the new 3 years. I appreciated here what makes the very nature of our work at OC&C: it was not only about listening to what the client thinks and writing the "sexiest" document possible, or about dictating to highly experienced and skilled people the objectives they will have to reach afterwards. Itwas about re-thinking step by step their business and helping them to decide ambitious objectives which they thought to be completely impossible before the project... and which will very likely become realities.

I studied engineering with a specialization in construction. My favourite attire during my first professional years was boots and helmet as I managed construction of bridges, including a French premiere use of high resistance concrete for a bridge designed for army tanks. After a few years, seeking more intellectual challenge, I changed the boots and helmet for suit and tie and joined one of the top-tier strategy consulting firms. I eventually started at OC&C after 6 years of work experience and a backpacker trip around the world.
People at OC&C have very distinctive character: hard-working, but with a real sense of freedom. There is a lot of creativity, including cross-office views sharing. The level of international collaboration on almost every project is amazing. Last, but not least, OC&C people are respectful of the quality of life. At every level, it is possible to have a successful career together with a family life and, most of the time, personal projects are encouraged and supported.
Even though we have very high professional standards, even though we work hard, we keep a real sense of freedom: far from being clones, charisma is one of the attributes of the OC&C people. The firm looks for talented and unique people and knows how to maintain their specificities.

I chose strategy consulting because I think it is where you can have the broader vision of business: you get to meet and work with high-level clients, and the recommendations you make will impact the client’s organization as a whole.
I believe that OC&C is a great career choice once you have chosen to work in strategy consulting: it is a top consulting firm with high quality expectations but where young consultants like me are very quickly involved, both internally within the team and externally with the client. The learning curve is exponential!

I joined OC&C after studying business at ESCP-EAP and law at Nanterre University. When I graduated, I realized I wanted to keep on discovering various environments and chose to do strategy consulting.
At OC&C, I immediately had the feeling that juniors were involved in the project at a "global level", and not only required for fragmented tasks: your advice is taken into account, as soon as it is well argued. Before OC&C I had an Engineering Background, with some experience of Logistics. I joined OC&C as an Associate Consultant just after the submission of my thesis. My most challenging project was in Russia for a leading dairy product manufacturer. Of course, the excitement was a combination of inextricable problematic, challenging, cultural experience and unique relationship with the client.
Advice to candidates? Be yourself! We want to see structured, dynamic and innovative candidates in our case study interviews, but, above all, we want to meet strong individuals who have something to share and give us a true glimpse of your ambitions and motivations!

I joined OC&C after a specialization in marketing at HEC. I had interviews in several consulting firms and I naturally chose OC&C: the people I met there talk of their job at OC&C with enthusiasm, with humility, and they convey a strong attachment to their firm, all of which I did not feel in other firms.
An Associate Consultant at OC&C is highly involved from the first project on in building the messages that will be given to the client. The team meetings every week gather all the members of a project and Partners are keen to hear the ideas of young consultants. Learning to share one's work and ideas (even when it goes against general thinking) represents a great opportunity to improve faster and enables to give value to daily work.
