What was your background prior to joining OC&C?
I joined OC&C after my MBA at London Business School. Prior to the MBA I worked in New Zealand in a variety of industries. I started off doing marketing for women’s fashion, moved on to set up the marketing department for a leading wholesaler and retailer in building and renovations before designing and developing an eCommerce system for a major alcohol retailer. Given my penchant for working in various industries and my retail background, OC&C was a natural choice.
What’s your favourite OC&C experience?
I love when the whole firm gets together, especially when we have a chance to interact with those from the other international offices. ITW and Away Weekend are definitely my favourite experiences in that regard.
What do you like to get up to in your free time outside of the office?
Outside of work, you can find me hanging upside down on the trapeze, aerial hoop or aerial hammock. Or else I’m on a boat at a regatta somewhere in Europe, having caught the yacht-racing bug while I was doing my MBA.
What advice would you give to someone applying at OC&C?
To someone applying at OC&C I would advise making the most of the opportunities to get to know us and also to do practice cases before the interviews. Thinking and presenting in a structured manner takes practice.
