OC&C advises Nexus Point on its acquisition of PTC Testing

OC&C Strategy Consultants supported Nexus Point with commercial due diligence on its acquisition of a majority stake in PTC Testing, a Guangdong-based Testing, Inspection and Certification (TIC) provider specialising in electrical and electronics and consumer products. The transaction marks Nexus Point’s first investment in its new TIC platform, which aims to build a scaled network of testing and certification businesses across Asia.

Founded in 2008, PTC Testing operates eight laboratories across Guangdong, Fujian and Zhejiang, and holds a broad range of accreditations, including CNAS, CMA and CCC, alongside approved-laboratory status under e-commerce and buyer programmes. The business provides essential testing and certification services, helping manufacturers meet increasingly stringent safety, quality and regulatory requirements.

The acquisition represents an important first step in Nexus Point’s buy-and-build strategy within Asia’s highly fragmented TIC market. Nexus Point plans to expand the platform through further acquisitions of complementary laboratories and accreditations, while investing in management capabilities, shared infrastructure and systems to drive operational efficiencies and support long-term growth.
