What inspired you to pursue a career in consulting?

Coming from a liberal arts educational background, I was particularly excited about the multi-disciplinary nature of consulting – all of the qualitative and quantitative pieces of research that need to come together to deliver an exceptional answer to our clients. I was also looking forward to the team working aspect of the job. Across all tenures, every single person has a clear role and opportunity to contribute, and it’s been extremely satisfying to be constantly learning from and working so collaboratively with my colleagues!

How do you ensure that OC&C’s clients receive the best service?

We work closely with our clients, all the way from day one of project scoping to finalization. We see ourselves as true collaborators rather than transactional partners – we believe that the best outcomes are delivered jointly through co-creation and iteration: via transparent and frequent communications, as well as multiple avenues to invite input and workshop across our teams.

How do you contribute to a positive team culture at OC&C?

At its core, what makes OC&C so special is its people – not just the impact we have on our clients, but also on each other. I’m a firm believer that a core part of this job is to mentor and develop each other; as part of that, I try to ensure that every team member has a role that is well suited to their development areas, is receiving hands-on coaching, and timely and actionable feedback. My goal is for everybody to walk away from the project experience feeling like they’ve developed their skillset in a meaningful way, and made lasting connections with those around them (that hopefully extend beyond the project at hand!)
