OC&C advises QIC Global Private Capital on their investment into Travello

Montag, 24. Oktober 2022 | Neuigkeiten

We are pleased to congratulate QIC Global Private Capital team and Paspalis Innovation Investment Fund on their investment into Travello. Travello is a distinctive travel platform that allows travellers to book unique, in-destination tours and experiences, and additionally provides a social network for travellers.

Travello plans to use the funds to secure its position in Australia as a leading tour and travel experiences brand for millennials. In particular, they will look to scope out new acquisitions and expand into new regions and categories, such as outbound multi-day tours. Travello’s revenue has increased seven times its pre-COVID level, this has been driven by strong demand for domestic travel experiences since opening up again. Travello is seeing signs of a strong return from international travellers with bookings from 60+ countries in September.

The Australian practice of OC&C Strategy Consultants acted as the commercial due diligence provider in relation to the transaction, working alongside Ryan Hanly and Mark Cantoni at Travello, and Crystal Russell and Patrick Christiansen at QIC.

OC&C is the leading strategy consultancy in the travel market working with both major global corporations and local champions. We have advised investors on some of the largest transactions worldwide in recent years. In private equity, we have commercially advised on more than 300 successful transactions over the last 5 years, encompassing sell-side and buy-side roles.
