OC&C advises Ethica Global Investments on recent acquisition in luxury packaging sector

Mottini and Verbar, both firms process packaging for perfumery, cosmetics and wines and spirits businesses. OC&C provided buy-side support to Ethica Global Investments during this process.
V.M.C Mottini specializes in luxurious packaging (specifically painting, screen printing, hot stamping and sputtering) for perfumery and cosmetic products. The company’s new sputtering line (the first in Italy) has allowed the company to grow rapidly.
Verbar’s expertise lies in the coating of glass, metal and plastic and processes packaging for luxury cosmetics and wine & spirits.
The two companies complement each other, with Ethica Global Investments acting as an industrial hub.
The founding families and current management will remain active in maintaining the operational leadership of the group. Ethica Global Investments plan to expand the production capacity, increase market penetration and expansion (particularly in France and Germany), continually serving their increased demand.
