We're delighted to have further bolstered our senior team with four new partner promotions as we continue to focus on expansion across a variety of sectors. Jan Bergmann, Jean-Baptiste Brachet, Ye Chen, and John Franklin will be focused on utilising their sector expertise to drive growth across Germany, France, the United States and the United Kingdom respectively.

The new partners will work across a variety of sectors including consumer goods, leisure, retail, media and entertainment, and technology, amongst others. They will join a dedicated group of partners across the business working to support clients in achieving competitive advantage.

Our new partners

Jan Bergmann – Partner, OC&C, Munich

Jan is a founding member of the Munich Office and will be responsible for continuing to build OC&C’s presence in the German market, delivering high-quality advice to German corporate and PE clients, and key international accounts with a presence in the country. Jan will lead the Leisure and Hospitality practice across the entire DACH region, while continuing to serve European clients across Retail, Digital and a broader set of consumer-facing industries on growth strategies.

Jean-Baptiste Brachet – Partner, OC&C, Paris

In his new position, Jean-Baptiste will be responsible for continuing to grow the Paris office and supporting the growth of the OC&C network globally, covering both corporate and private equity in both cases.

He primarily specialises in Food and Drink, Beauty and Nutrition but will also continue to contribute to the Retail and Leisure and B2B sectors, helping clients with their growth strategies, competitive differentiations and value chain optimisations.

Ye Chen – Partner, OC&C, New York

Ye will be focused on accelerating OC&C’s US TMT practice and serving clients on growth strategy, proposition design, due diligence, and value creation projects. His primary sectors will be Media and Entertainment, Consumer Internet, and Marketing Technology. Ye’s existing clients are spread across blue-chip global corporates, fast-growing “digital native” businesses, and leading private equity investors at the intersection of media and technology in the US, Europe, and APAC.

John Franklin – Partner, OC&C, London

John will be focused on OC&C’s Retail and Leisure practice and continue to work on its global expansion. He brings expertise supporting corporate client growth, transformation and customer strategies. He has recently led the development of loyalty programmes and customer lifetime value optimisation projects for a range of retailers, travel and hospitality operators. He also supports Private Equity diligence in Retail and Leisure, and execution of post-acquisition value creation plans.

Will Hayllar, Global Managing Partner, OC&C, commented on the announcement:

“We are delighted to welcome Jan, Jean-Baptiste, Ye and John to the Partnership. Supporting talented people to develop into excellent strategic advisors to our clients is at the core of our business and they all embody that. Their spread of sectors and locations reflects the strong growth of OC&C around the world. We look forward to having them in our Partner team, working together to shape competitively advantaged strategies for our clients and nurturing the next generation of talent in our business.”
