OC&C advises Aksia on recent investment in multiple players in gnocchi, fresh pasta and ready meals

We are pleased to congratulate Aksia on the creation of the Italian Food Excellence Group (Ifex). The group is a brand new entity created following the acquisition of multiple players in this market. Aksia, after Master, has invested in Buona Compagnia Gourmet, Il Ceppo and Michelis, three businesses with expertise across gnocchi, fresh pasta and ready meals. The new group will benefit from commercial and production synergies. Combined with investment capital from Aksia, Italian Food Excellence Group will be able to expand into new markets as well as consolidate growth in the US.

The group has seven production plants (with one in the US) and an export share equal to 30% of the total turnover.
