We are pleased to congratulate H.I.G. Capital (“H.I.G.”) and FourWinds Capital Partners (“FWCP”) on their acquisition of Avove, a leading UK infrastructure services and engineering company focused on the regulated water and power markets.

OC&C provided buy-side commercial due diligence to H.I.G. and FWCP in support of the acquisition.

Avove provides end-to-end design and build solutions to utilities across the water, wastewater and power sectors, operating throughout Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The business has established a strong position in regulated utility markets, with a track record of high-quality delivery and a focus on innovation, safety and generating social value for the communities it serves.

The acquisition comes at a significant point for UK infrastructure investment. In particular, the AMP8 water investment cycle is expected to drive substantial investment across the sector, focused on renewing ageing infrastructure, reducing pollution incidents and strengthening resilience to climate change. Avove is well positioned to support its utility customers as they deliver against these priorities.

Avove’s management team will reinvest alongside, H.I.G. and FWCP, and remain in place to lead the next phase of the company’s development. H.I.G. and FWCP plans to support Avove’s continued organic growth alongside an M&A strategy aimed at broadening its service offering and strengthening its ability to serve customers across regulated utility markets.
