OC&C advised Nextalia on Sustainable Animal Nutrition Deal 

We’re pleased to congratulate Regardia (Nextalia SGR S.p.A. portfolio company) on agreeing to invest in Animal Wellness Products S.p.A. (“AWP”), a leading player in the development and production of phytomolecules and additives based on essential oils. These are aimed to improve animal health by reducing the use of antibiotics and promoting sustainable wellness.

Founded in 2002 by Paolo Cristofori, AWP has established itself within the market due to its proprietary data, strategic partnerships with universities and international research centres, and a long-term entrepreneurial vision supporting international operations through strong commercial relationships.

AWP is a key pillar of Regardia’s growth strategy, launched last year with the acquisition of a majority stake in Zoo Assets, aimed at creating a high value-added vertical in the animal nutraceuticals sector. This transaction further reinforces Regardia’s commitment to developing innovative and sustainable solutions for animal wellness and marks a decisive step in building an integrated and sustainable group in the agro-industrial sector.

Thanks to complementary skills – from phytogenic additives to natural ingredients – the Group will be able to achieve significant operational and commercial synergies, consolidating its position as a key player in sustainable animal nutrition.
