OC&C advises TPG on its acquisition of EMIS

EMIS is one of the UK’s leading healthcare software providers, delivering clinical systems and technology solutions that support primary care, community care, pharmacies and other healthcare settings across the NHS. Its platforms enable healthcare professionals to deliver more connected, efficient and patient-centred care, making EMIS a critical technology partner within the UK’s healthcare ecosystem.

TPG acquired EMIS through TPG Capital, the firm’s U.S. and European private equity platform, alongside its portfolio company Optum. The transaction brings together EMIS’s leading healthcare software capabilities with Optum’s expertise in healthcare technology, data and digital services, creating a stronger platform to support the continued digital transformation of healthcare across the UK. Following completion of the transaction, EMIS now operates under the Optum brand.
