Founded in 1991, Tax Systems is a specialist provider of software solutions that digitise the tax compliance process, enabling tax professionals to automate workflows, enhance compliance, mitigate risk, and generate valuable insights. The company serves over 1,500 clients, including multinational enterprises, more than 80% of the top UK and Ireland accounting firms, and approximately 40% of the FTSE 100.

Bowmark Capital is a mid-market private equity firm specialising in technology, data, and services companies, acquired Tax Systems in 2019. During its ownership, Tax Systems doubled its revenue and profits, developed a leading cloud-native, multi-tax technology platform, and expanded its product suite to include AI-powered solutions addressing complex global tax compliance requirements.

Providence Equity Partners, a private equity firm focused on growth-oriented media, communications, education, and technology companies acquired Tax Systems to support their continued platform expansion and innovation, targeting new tax and regulatory compliance solutions in existing and new geographies.
