What was your background prior to joining OC&C?

I came to OC&C in one of our graduate intakes, having studied modern languages at Cambridge University. I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do at all, and strategy consulting & OC&C seemed like a good place to start.

What’s your favourite OC&C experience?

Certainly some of the “random” experiences I have had as part of projects have to be up there. Particularly where they’ve given me insights in to clients and industries that I never even knew existed! Some choice highlights include visiting aeroplane testing facilities in Miami, interviewing owners of shoe shops in Milan and (slightly less glamourous) an in-depth tour of the UK’s largest poultry processing factory.

What do you like to get up to in your free time outside of the office?

I love to cook, and failing that like eating and drinking out lots. Travelling (and planning trips) is something I really enjoy and luckily for me is a habit that OC&C’s generous unpaid leave allowance has let me feed!

What advice would you give to someone applying at OC&C?

Absolutely be yourself, and try to draw on what you know throughout the application and interview process (it’ll be more than you think). If possible, try and get time to meet some OC&C colleagues at one of our recruitment events – it’s the people that make the place.
