UK Driving Services: Trends Shaping a £290bn Market

The UK Driving Services market is a large, resilient and evolving ecosystem worth ~£285–290bn, supported by high driver engagement and the continued importance of vehicles in everyday life.

Market growth is underpinned by structural tailwinds, including a growing and ageing vehicle parc, rising miles driven, and increasing service and repair complexity.

As the market evolves customers continue to prioritise trust, value, simplicity and convenience, but increasingly expect seamless digital journeys, providers that can serve them anywhere through a ‘to you’ proposition, and accredited expertise as vehicles become more complex.

At the same time, fragmented service categories are beginning to consolidate and segment, creating scope for stronger brands and more integrated multi-service platforms to deliver better customer experiences.

Looking ahead, the shift to EVs and, over time, AVs is expected to increase the need for specialist support, reinforcing the advantage of scaled, trusted and digitally enabled providers across the Driving Services landscape.
