OC&C advised Xenon on the creation of a group for the management of Hazardous Industrial Waste

We’re pleased to congratulate Xenon Private Equity, through Xenon Private Equity VIII SCA SICAV-RAIF, on the creation of Rinovha, a platform uniting Alm.Eco, Gamma and Marcon e Vico. Together they become a systematised industrial and intermediation business, focused on the management of hazardous industrial waste in the historically fragmented Italian landscape. Tikehau Capital financed the project by providing unitranche financing. OC&C provided buy-side commercial diligence on the transaction and prepared the industrial plan.

The companies forming the Rinovha Group are:

• Alm.Eco is active in environmental intermediation, offering integrated services for the transport, recovery and disposal of waste throughout Italy. Completing the operating chain is A.T.I., owner of a plant authorised for the treatment and recovery of non-hazardous special waste from construction, remediation and industrial activities. Its office has a unit dedicated to exports abroad.
• Gamma offers intermediation, transport, recovery and disposal services for hazardous and non-hazardous waste, with particular focus on the steel, wood, paper and construction materials sectors. Operating as an intermediary, carrier and, upon request, notifier, it can ensure a complete and structured service. The company carries out intermediation activities across the national territory and, notably, with foreign countries, boasting established commercial relations in the main European countries.
• Marcon active in the management and treatment of industrial waste. Marcon, together with the other companies within its perimeter (Treviso EcoServizi and Zatta) handles the collection, transport, treatment, recovery and disposal of solid and liquid waste, hazardous and non-hazardous in the Triveneto area. The Company can offer complete solutions for every disposal need, thanks to plants for recovery, sorting and selection of waste, as well as for the purification of industrial effluents and temporary storage.
• Vico is a national benchmark for complex decommissioning, environmental remediation and industrial demolition. Thanks also to a proprietary plant, the Company manages all phases of the process directly, from design to remediation, from demolition to waste disposal, up to the recovery of materials and site redevelopment, ensuring an integrated and sustainable approach to every intervention.

The overall project enhances the complementary services of the companies, bringing all stages of environmental management under the same roof. From intermediation to collection and transport, the treatment and disposal of waste, industrial decommissioning, and on to complex remediation activities in Italy and abroad.
