Online car retailing: harder than it looks

Interesting to read about Shift’s partnership with Cox/Mannheim to provide the physical infrastructure to underpin its online sales. Turns out grungy things like storage and reconditioning centers aren’t going to be digitised any time soon.

We think Mannheim (and similar businesses) are onto a winner here – and are much more likely to make money out of online car retailing than the online retailers themselves!
