We’re delighted to share the OC&C Retail Proposition Index, which anoints this year’s winning retailers in the eyes of consumers, and also highlights the key trends influencing UK consumer behaviour over the last year.

Now in its 13th year, the report is based on speaking to over 40,000 consumers and commenting on c.700 of the world’s leading brands.

From the resurgence of multichannel propositions to the growing importance of loyalty, the research reveals several critical consumer trends, and provides a unique long term time series on how these are evolving at both a market and retailer level.

The real question is, of course, what do retailers do about it?

We’ve put together 4 key imperatives for businesses to build resilience and position themselves for success over the next year.

If you would like to talk through our findings or are looking for more information, we’d be delighted to talk.

What we cover in this report

  • Optimise your physical footprint
  • Re-focus on driving share of wallet and loyalty
  • Sustainability remains important despite cost pressure
  • Deliver growth with a clear, differentiated model
