This weekend marks International Women’s Day. This year’s theme, Accelerating Action, reminds us that progress doesn’t happen by chance – it happens through deliberate and collective effort. We are committed to being a diverse, equitable and inclusive firm – the best home for the best strategy talent.
This year, our Women’s Network (along with our many other Diversity and Inclusion Networks) are hosting some amazing events to celebrate, including a panel discussion with some inspirational OC&C alumni.
We heard from five wonderful ex-OC&Cers; Leonie Foster, current COO of Selfridges and recently listed in MBS Women to Watch Index, Sharon Flood, who shared her passion for building a career that works for you – and now holds a portfolio of leadership roles across an impressive range of industries and geographies, Caroline Bowen who recently left the world of retail behind to start her own climate tech business, Katherine Brown who has taken her commercial experience and passion for art and turned it into roles with the Art Council and her own art initiatives, and Abby Wong – our most recent alumna guest – who shared her experience in figuring out what life on the investment side looked like post consulting.
The conversation was inspiring and authentic, and we would like to thank all our panellists for sharing their time and experiences with us. We are also planning a Q&A session in our Milan office, a wellness event in our German and Polish offices and a Women’s panel in our US office.
In celebration of International Women’s Day, Mairi Fairley was featured in TrainingZone on leading and mentorship for women. We also celebrated Mairi’s election to Chair of the Shareholder Committee earlier this month, where she will be central to the continued growth of OC&C.
We are committed to continuously improving women’s experiences across the firm on #InternationalWomensDay and beyond.
A big thank you to our Women’s Network leadership team Olivia May, Caitlin Bailey-Williams, Vivian Hinfelaar, Vicky Rees, Felicity Latcham, Mel Jones – Assoc CIPD, Julie S., Victoria Skornia and Katie Robinson for all their work in supporting us towards this goal.
