OC&C advises Apollo Funds on the acquisition of Prosol Group, a leading French fresh food retailer

We are delighted to announce that OC&C Strategy Consultants has supported Apollo Funds in its agreement to acquire a majority stake in Prosol Group, a fresh food retail platform in France.

OC&C provided Commercial Due Diligence and Operations Due Diligence to Apollo, helping to inform investment decisions and provide strategic insight into the French specialised food retail sector.

Founded in 1992, Prosol has established itself as a category leader in fresh food retail through a vertically integrated model that combines proprietary sourcing with strong in store execution and a compelling customer proposition. The business operates a broad portfolio of nearly 450 stores under banners including Grand Frais and Fresh., with complementary brands such as La Boulangerie du Marché, mon marché.fr, BioFrais and Banco Fresco in Italy.

The acquisition by Apollo, a global alternative asset manager with deep retail and consumer sector expertise, represents a significant milestone in Prosol’s development. It positions the company to pursue accelerated expansion in France and internationally.
